I bought my (smooth) microfibre ones from Mountain Warehouse's outlet, and they are very quick to dry.

One needs to pat-dry with this type of towels, however it does not take long to adapt.

Makes a big difference to me when Backpacking!!! Light and packs small...Dries quicker and easier than a conventional towel...

Takes a bit of getting used to with the pat dry rather than rub method....

Have to say its a matter of convenience rather than liking microfibre towels for me...

On my BIG camps when I have transport and room/space is not an issue...I take conventional house towels every time...

Have used Lifeventure Micro fibre Trek towels when backpacking since they came on the market. Not cheap but are very good, dry quickly and long lasting.
