Hi Yvonne
I used to have a Fiat based Swift Suntor, I now have a VW Van conversion ( long story, but for health reasons, need toilet onboard and we like to day-trip, so it's kitted out with a small toilet and sink/hob/cupboard).
When we had the Motorhome, there was a wee space under the oven where I just kept a milk pan and two other saucepans (very light-weight ones, cheap from Asda). We just kept the bare minimum of 4 mugs, 4 melamine cups, 4 of plates, bowls, side plates (all melamine). I never had any problems with anything falling out of anywhere. Stick to light-weight items for your crockery and cooking. We also had a very light-weight kettle (to use on the gas hob), which had a folding handle, for easy storage. I wrapped the rattly grill pan in a tea towel and popped it in an overhead cupboard.
Jars and tins I often kept in a plastic crate (like the ones that fold away) and either put them in a cupboard we had beside the bench seat, or under the seats. We just got used to only really shopping for what we needed.
I hope you really enjoy being "on the road"! xx
------------- Gillian
