We have been using the luci inflatable solar lantern, and it is amazing. Charges up in overcast British weather in an afternoon, and stays lit literally all night on a full day charge (we forgot to turn it off!). Light enough to read from if you have it close, or can light up a whole tent enough to see or play cards if hung up. Holds a charge for well over 2 months too. Usually solar lights are a bit rubbish, but this one has blown us away. Packs flat too if you need it to. We will be buying a couple more as we lost our torch for loo trips.
Also, if you are into that sort of thing, every one you buy means that one is given away to people in countries without reliable electricity.
They can be found on Amazon, sometimes imported and really pricey (like £80), but there are a few people importing them now, and they are much more reasonable (more like £20), so if you are interested wait for the cheaper ones to come up!
