can anyone please recomend a heater for our oasis 6 tent please, seen plenty on the market and not sure wht to go as we are new to the camping experience.
If I were to buy a fan heater, I would look for one with the following features:
* Thermostatically controlled
* Dual Heat Output
* Maximum power of no more than 2kW
* Over-heating safety cut out
* Safety cut out when it is tripped over on its side
* Ceramic core (desirable but not essential)
* Digital display (again desirable but not essential)

Apologies if you already know this, but since you are new to the camping experience, you may be unaware of the dangers and considering gas heating, so I'd ask you to read this advice, especially the middle paragraph. There is of course a similar risk of carbon monoxide poisoning when using any other hydrocarbon source, paraffin, petrol etc., so please go for one of the electric heaters recommended by other posters.
I would recommend a fan heater but check that the cable is marked 2 x 1.00mm2 if it is a 2000 watt heater. Fan heaters heat a tent far quicker than any other sort of heater, the downside being that they can be a little noisy.
