Hi, having a bit of a gas bottle dilemma!
We have a double gas burner and a cadac safari chef bbq, we bought a blue butane bottle last year for the cadac, which I originally planned to buy a t- piece and run both cookers off one bottle....but if we want to bbq outside then it means carting the stove out as well.
I don't want to shell.out for a third bottle as we have a green patio gas bottle on our big home bbq, so my question is are the green bottles ok for running a cadac? Or can anyone please offer me a simpler solution, of running two thing off one bottle?
Still with me? Great! Thanks!

We use a tee bit with one gas bottle and then a quick release connection on both side ,then we have a made extention gas hose 3m longs that also has male / female quick release connections and then have a male connection on the cadac so if we have a b&q we connect the the estention on one side of the tee and then run the hose away from the tent and connect the cadac up and start cooking those ribs :) hope it makes sence

Pics on request if you need then :)

That sounds just what I need to do! Although I'm not sure what parts I'd need to do that, would you mind posting pictures or pointing me in the right direction for connectors. Many thanks.

TEE / Y PEICE X1-http://www.gasproducts.co.uk/acatalog/Fulham_Gas_Hose_Nozzle_Y_Shape.html

Quick release connection x3 - http://www.gasproducts.co.uk/acatalog/8mm_Quick_Release_Gas_Hose_Coupling.html#aHA035H

Jubilee clips x8
http://www.gasproducts.co.uk/acatalog/Jubilee_Hose_Clip_MOO.html#aHA819

You do need to put the correct regulator on

So what if done is

Regular to 8mm gas hose (6 inches long) to tee piece (with jubilee with end of course)
Then from the tee - 8mm hose1ft long either side then at the ends of both pipes attach the female side of the quick release connection with jubile clips
Then attach the male part of the quick release connection to the stove - make sure you use enough 8mm hose from the stove to the connection Iv used 1m or so.
Then again from the cadac attach about 1m of 8mm hose with a male quick release connection again use jubile clips

Then for the extention hose make it as long as you need / want ,Iv used 3m of 8mm hose , the attach the male / female to either end of the hose and then use jubile clips to fix them in place

Iv used 8mm high pressure gas hose, it bright and can been seen when on the grass

Once done get it checked over by some who gas safe to make sure nothing leaks
IF UNSURE GET SOME WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING BE SAFE

Post pic of mine when we get home :)

Anytime hope it help ... On another note make sure your regulator has a descent outlet .... If you look on the top of your regulator on the lable outta edge it will say something like 1.0kg/hr, this it how many kg of gas it can provide upto the higher the better (I think 1.5 is the highest but don't quote me on that) as if you have a low output regulator the 2 items you are trying to use at the same time of max it might struggle by losing pressure ... Iv got a 1.5kg/hr regulator and Iv put a 5200w cooker/oven ( everything was on Max as I was test it to see if the pressure would drop if both cookers was on) and the cadac ( on max) and it worked like a charm ..... Those quick release connections on the link I gave you are very cheap at my local Calor gas they charge £12.99 each
