I'm sure that this is something that comes up fairly regularly - so sorry for anyone who needs to repeat themselves :(
We have a Vango Eclipse 600 and would like to light the tent - which is the best way of doing this? We currently have 2 x 72 LED inspection lights which do light up the immediate area, but being a largish tent, didn't know if anyone had any better suggestions?
We only bought the tent at the end of the last season, so far we've only managed a couple of weekends away, both without EHU, but we're ready to have power now!!!
we made our own, get a shade that you want bulb brightness you want plus we added a dimmer switch so it could be bright or well less bright. Finished off with some green cried cabling to match the tent.

Thanks Youlbury, we will generally have EHU.

Fair enough...noticed you did mention inspection lights, we went to ehu last year, we have bought the outwell castor light for £20 Max 40w but with a decent bulb it will be fine and the cable is long enough unlike some other models. We also have a rope light too ...just for more mood lighting

We've just bought the outwell castor light and were after a better lantern for when we don't have EHU and that one above looks perfect, will have to get one of them. I'm glad I clicked on the link now
Another vote for the cyba-lite when not on EHU.
For EHU, we just had one of those clip on domestic bulb holders you can get almost anywhere, which with the right bulb is fine. Must admit though, we are even happier with our latest set up, which is The Outwell castor light, with a Remote control dimmable bulb in it!
Just be aware that there was a spate of reports a good year or so ago saying that some of those Castor lights were only 2m leads, despite the box and/or advert stating 5m.

As mentioned by others Outwell Castor light is brill!!.I think it is a reasonable price but as Mucker has stated "cable length is not 5 metres "
We get away with it by running a small extension cable therefore increasing the length of the cable. A pain but well worth it for a quality light !
We bought ours about 3 months ago, from G.O., and that did have a 5m lead. Being aware of this problem, from these forums, I had the good sense to open the box in the shop, to check... not that we actually need 5m!
