I have been given an empty 4kg gas bottle. It has She'll gas on it, I have spoken to Flo gas customer service, they were very nice, and they said I can go to the Flo gas depot in
Leeds and change it to a bigger size without the need for a deposit.

Really what I want to know is how easy is it to get hold of Flo gas when we are away? I see calor gas sold at petrol stations etc, does anyone else use Flo gas or am I better off getting rid of the empty bottle and going with Calor?

With Calor you will often get it exchanged on site, Flogas you will be off looking for their dealers.
If its much cheaper then worth having if its a similar price I would suggest Calor

We use flow gas for the van and for home. local to us they do a great delivery service and last time I checked were the cheapest option.

They have just done a deal with Homebase who are now a distributer so I'm assuming that as long as you can get to a homebase you re ok.

For a high user of gas, say if you use it for home heating then Flogas is worth it for the less cost & they do doorstep delivery. If you are only using small amount of gas for camping then probably convenience of Calor suppliers makes Calor a better bet.

if i run my fridge on flo-gas it carbons up. useing calor it is fine. when the bottle is empty it will become a nice wood burner

I used Flo Gas for years but have now gone onto Calor Lite. When using Flo Gas I always looked on the Internet for a dealer near to where I was staying just in case I ran out. I never did.
Sounds a good option now though if they've got in with Homebase.

Never heard of a 4kg bottle though.

I have a 6kg Calor Lite to exchange, I can't for the hell find a stockist who has any in stock. Actually rang Flo Gas the other day, the lady who answered the phone was one of the most helpful people I dealt with in a long time. 😄

Yes what about the recall I handed mine in 6weeks ago and was told I was on a long waiting list shouldn't expect this from a big outfit like Calor
