I remember talking about the tiny holes on the trailer that let water in before on here, I haven't looked since last year but I think that they are on the extension sides.

The parcel tape I stuck on more than a year ago is still going strong but I would like something a bit more swish/permanent this year!

Has anyone bought any plugs or know where I might be able to find plastic/rubber plugs to fit the holes which are probably 3 or 4 mm diameter from memory.

Thanks every so much for replying - I think Grommets must be the word - they look like what came with it initially, just not enough. I will measure the holes and see if the sizes measure up to those online.

I bought a Lider seville trailer which has a similar problem, I managed to find a heavy duty BBQ cover that was the same size as the inside of the trailer, I use that as a liner (upside down, obviously)

It is a bit hard to believe that such expensive trailers are not thought out properly really isn't it.

That is a good idea too. There is a renowned hardware shop a few miles from me - apparently it is like something from Victorian times with shelves to the ceilings full of jars of stuff, family owned for more than a century. I haven't been before but might drive there now I know the word Grommets.

When i had my brenderup i bought additional stick on reflectors and stuck these over the holes.

Forget the rivets! Just realised that the holes you're referring to are probably there intentionally to allow rainwater to drain out, so you do need something readily removable, like the aforementioned grommets, or replace the parcel tape with duct tape, possibly?

I don't think they are intentional because they only 'appeared' when we added the higher sides which didn't come with a bag of plugs like the trailer did.

We only used it once before we decided we needed the higher sides to allow us to travel with an empty car so we went back to our dealer and bought the extensions.

We drove to Hay on Wye and found that the holes, which are fairly high up, had let water in.

I didn't manage to measure it last night but I will. I like the reflector idea too - my husband thinks the parcel tape is doing a good job!

Hi, I have a brenderup 1205 trailer. The holes are for drainage. I got a roll of sticky backed 3-4 mm think neoprene strips online with that I cut into squares and stuck over the inside of the holes. Seems to work fine

Well, that woke me up Groover, quietly sat here drinking my coffee thinking I ought to wake my daughter up .

I still don't understand why they would include drainage holes near the top of the trailer ... would have to be 2 feet of water in there to reach the holes.

I went to the very old fashioned hardware shop earlier as I was driving by - blanking grommets was their term for them. I guessed the sizes, amazingly I was right, 20 pence each.
