Normal size for regulators is 8mm od nipple inside ridges as regulator in link, so you can get 8mm fittings to go with. hose is 8.3mm bore. so push fit over nipple ridges. dip hose end in boiling water to push on & secure with jubilee clip.
The orange hose is in fact high pressure lpg hose & hose after regulator can be low pressure lpg hose which is easier to fit. this stuff. High pressure hose is stronger though so your choice on this, its about 11mm od, I think.

I have just seen this, and as a gas registered engineer, you were lucky you didn't launch the workshop.
Anyone using any flammable gas, usually natural gas, propane and butane is obliged to adhere to the Gas Safe Use and installation Regulations 1998.
There are items such as the hosing and fittings, the way you connect it, and the ventilation requirements which are covered by this. it is a criminal offence to be in breach of this.
Apart from putting yourself and others at risk, you don't want the old bill having a chat afterwards.
You only need 3-8% of propane or butane to be the perfect explosive ratio with air, and it has a huge amount of energy for the volume of gas. If you have a gas leak you might not realise it, as the gas is heavier than air and will sink to the lowest place it can find.
I don't want to be a scaremonger, but you don't want to take chances with this stuff. If in doubt don't do it, get qualified advice.

I take it this is a portable 3way fridge box Dometic or similar make, yes? You may have done for it by using wrong regulator as you described earlier. Its possible you damaged thermocouple, this is what allows gas to keep flowing once it is lit & button is released. Google for Dometic spares but first try cleaning around burner area with plenty of meths & brush & blow out with air line if you have access to one.

I'd guess when it went on fire the thermocouple was probably irreparably damaged, but please DON'T attempt to repair it!
Get a qualified gas fitter to look at if you like, but take their advice, which I imagine will be to scrap it.
If you really need a gas fridge, for insulin, for example, on an extended trip away from an electricity supply, get an new one.
If you only want to keep beer and milk cool, use a coolbox or a bucket of water with a cloth draped over the top. Simpler, cheaper and more to the point, SAFER.
