We want to take duvets away with us camping but they obviously take up a lot of room. I've seen the compression sacks and think they might be useful but have no idea what size I would need, in litre, to fit in a double duvet (synthetic one). Can anyone help?
Vacum bags example on link are popular, it is a little harder when packing up, we roll on them and use the deflate function on the pump when we use them
Just buy a pair of long straps per bag. The type of strap that is infinitely adjustable.
Wrap one over the ends, the other around the side (so at 90 degrees) and just keep tightening one then the other.
It's amazing how small you can get the bag, almost solid!
The vacuum bags are good (watching others pack up on site). There are the 'suck it out with a pump' or a 'roll out the air' ones.
Saw people putting these huge flat things into the roofbox of their car. Not many gaps. We always have gaps between our sleeping bags as they are round (remember maths and tessolating round shapes leaves gaps between them)
