Would love the views from the good folk on here which mini ovens are best (build quality, evenness of cook, internal space vs size, fan/non fan, grill, etc) and which to avoid.
Thank You

Just got the Lidl 14lt Mini-Oven 1200 watt £27, to replace our Lidl 15lt Mini-Oven 1380watt £30.
OK the 15lt was fine, and had an internal Lamp as well as Fan Assist function, which the new oven does not have.
What I like about the Lidl 14lt oven is that it is obviously more compact, and uses less electric, and it also fits perfectly into a "Really Useful Box" 42lt size £14 from B&Q or £13.08 from Makro inc vat.
Strangley our 15lt Lidl oven has developed an intermittent fault, in that it Trips the RCD electrics, which is the reason for it's replacement, although it is around 5 years old.
Dont know how you can tell before you buy but dont buy anything that gets hot on the outside.
The better ones are insulated so that the outer casing does not get hot enough to burn you.
Yep, good tip Kodak, the Lidl 14lt 1200watt Mini-Oven has a rear facing cooling exhaust fan, which I guess helps prevent the outside of the oven becoming dangerously hot.

Don't place it too close to the flysheet then as it sounds as if it will be pumping red hot air out the back.
Well in a complete u-turn I ordered a halogen oven today!

On the subject of mini ovens, I bought an Aldi one and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about where to get a handle to assist in removing the baking tray from the hot oven.
Also where to buy other ovenware of a suitable size to fit.
I am looking forward to using this to cook some roast potatoes on a weekend trip instead of relying on plain old boiled, or instant mash, for a decent Sunday meal. Plus jacket potatoes when the mood takes me!!!
They usually come with a baking tray handle but you may be able to get a grill pan handle from a Cookshop (Boots or Robert Dyas) which will do the job.
Spun the Halogen oven up at home tonight and it works like a treat, only did JPs, but would be confident doing a full roast meal in it now as it is pretty much like cooking in a normal oven.
Thank you 'black ice'

Thanks for any assistance,

This fits if you want a deeper and larger roasting tin than the one supplied.
