Ok, so we decided that we where going to go with Campingaz over Calor due to the bottle size and hopeful trip to France next year.
I have just picked up a 99p bargain win on eBay for two 907s. Both have a handle so I should be good to head off to Go Outdoors and swap one of them for a full one saving a few quid.
However the older looking of the two is marked as a 907 but only has 2.72Kg rather than 2.75Kg that a 907 is listed as on the CG site. It also has a different style handle, so I am guessing this is an older bottle. I am still able to change this one, or is it no good?
Additionally can GampinGaz bottles be traded for the other sizes i.e. 904 & 901?
I would only get my 907 exchanged at Go Outdoors if desperate as they charge more than local gas suppliers. Campsites often charge less than Go Outdoors too. I know it's only saving a few pound but it all adds up over the years.
the Camping Gaz deposit is different for different sizes , so if you change down the value of the deposit will be less.
most shops will let you change down most wont let you change back up.
(but since you only paid 99p not an issue since the tops are £4 each )

Francais, thanks for the advice, and yes it is the size that has forced our hand on the Campingaz v Calor, just need to get a cheap regulator now and I will be sorted.
