Went to a well known Caravan dealer near Catterick yesterday with a view to buying one of these.
Then I noticed that as well as inflating the 3 main spars you also have to inflate 6 stiffener tubes.
Manufacturers claim it can be erected in 5 minutes.
Question to you oracles out there is can I get an adapter from my 12v Digial compressor so I can blow the thing up without the pumping!??
I noticed on the Go Outdoors website this awning is 20 quid more expensive than at the dealers we visited yesterday with a manufacturers suggested retail price of 499.99. so at 379.99 its a bargain but for the inflation question. details here
Well we've been and gone and done it - maiden voyage over easter at Gargrave.
The pump which looks like an old fashioned stirrup pump but made of plastic material puts air in on both the down and up strokes so it inflated very quickly as do the stiffers. Pump also has a 'suck' facility to help get the thing down quicly.
It was quite easy as we used wifeypounds to pay for it. They work just as well as Sterling and are widely accepted but I can spend loads of them without detriment to my bank balance

3rd season out with our prestina air awning, bought off eBay, didn't think you could still buy them, we did have a leaky valve after just a few months and struggled to contact manufacturer for replacement, but fortunately vango fits, so purchased one from our local dealer, no other problems, does the job and used at least twice a month, withstood some heavy rain and wind

We have had one of these for 3 years now and it had had so much used and had the fabric repaired a few times.
Do NOT pressurise it into the green on a hot day or it will explode!
We are now looking for a replacement bladder.
Would a bicycle puncture repair outfit not fix it?
Ours is still fine. It needed a new valve and when we went to the dealer he told us they can’t get them any more then fished about in a drawer and handed us 3 free of charge!! :)
