We already use a 12l halogen oven (with extension ring) for camping and it works for us but it is large. I also worry about the fact that it is glass but so far had no breakages.

I have read good things about the Remoska and saw one today brand new in box for a bargain price so went for it but now home and looking at the size of it will it really work as well as our halogen?

I asked a similar question but between Cobb and Remoska some years back, and the comments about the Remoska might be useful in your decision-making.

I didn't buy either in the end - ran out of funds and now the urge has subsided, and we have a gifted mini-oven.

Enjoy your cogitations

Remoska v Cobb

Thanks for the link.

I think the problem here is I can't resist a bargain and think the Remoska will be going the way of the Cadac Mini chef. Both seemed a great idea just not big enough for a family of 5.

We have yet to camp as a family without EHU but I have equipped us with the Cadac mini chef (new from Tesco), Sunncamp baby uno suitcase stove (new) and a Beauclaire with 7kg bottle of butane (secondhand) and we have only used the suitcase stove for coffee so far .

I look forward to having our perfect set up both tents and gear but definitely having fun getting there too

I bought a Remoska last summer. We had the standard size, and is plenty big enough for the 2 of us. The remoska comes with a stand because of the heat. We also bought a rack that sits inside for putting pizzas on. The comments already made about it getting very hot are correct. I just make sure it isnt touching anything. While the lid is really hot, i turn it upside down, you can stand it this way while it cools. It cooks jacket potatoes, roasters and joints wonderfully.
We bought it as we didnt have an oven in our last caravan, we have just changed the van, which has a full oven, but will still use the remoska as so much quicker!

Tynxuk, how did you get on with the Remoska? Did you try it or have you stuck to the Halogen? Was it a Standard (2ltre) Original (glass in lid)?
If you still have the Remoska and don't want it I would gladly buy it as mine has just gone by-by

We have stuck with the halogen oven, it was the original model with glass window in the lid but we sold it today to someone in a similar situation to yourself shrimpdragon.

I advertised it on gumtree and could have sold it several times over if I was willing to post it.

You should have tried the Ramoska Tynx, they are fabulous; economical, efficient and a doddle to clean!

Remoska all the way!

Can cook anything in it.

We have the grande and have made pies, stews, soups and 100's of other things in it. It has happily fed our family of 6 for years.
