Looking to upgrade from our small electric coolbox to a small tabletop fridge with a separate freezer compartment for ice if possible.
Please can anyone recommend one for under £80? Thanks in advance.

It would be just the smallest size domestic compressor fridge from somewhere like Argos or Currys for under £80. Mains only so you would need to be on Ehu. If you want a known brand you would probably have to go to £90odd but probably all made in the same factory in Turkey.

We've had one of these for four years ... very good value, very quiet (important on a camp site!) ... and, most importantly, has three shelves (makes a huge difference!) ... also, the extra height means you can get full sized bottles into the fridge door ... and that is probably the biggest factor, especially when it's hot!

A Table Top Fridge is probably the most cost effective solution, Makro often have them on offer.

We use a Mobicool C40 (not B40) which is a dedicated camping Fridge, and uses a compressor just like a regular domestic Fridge.

The advantage of the Mobicool C40 over a Table Top Fridge is that it has Grab Handles for lifting about and is a Top Loader, also the compressor will be designed and mounted for portable use, the overall size is also more compact than a Table Top Fridge.

You can get the Mobicool C40 from Obelink in Holland for around £140 inc delivery to UK.

Francais did you change the plug yourself or just get a euro to uk travel adapter?

Our EHU has 4 Euro Sockets so no need to change the Plug, for UK use we just use a UK adapter job done.

I had one of these in my room at uni and it was huge! Can't imagine taking that away camping (unless you're in a caravan?)

I have a smaller fridge, originally from Argos. It probably cost around £60 new but I got it on eBay for a tenner. It doesn't make ice though.

We are in an FC, now .... but started in a tent, with it ... used to sit in the trailer with the abs lid up and covered with a tarp ... worked wonderfully well.
