We've just had our new Vango Varkala 420 for its first outing.
It's our first experience of their Airbeam technology and, all puns intended, we were blown away!
First time out of the bag so we'd never even had a practice with it but it went up so easily, someone actually came over to ask about it because they'd seen how easy it had been. Never had that happen before!
Realistically, we should have gone for the Varkala 280 but I wad afraid it would seem too small. The 420 is plenty big enough for us and we fear we may never again use our lovely Isabella full awning. We thought it was easy to put up and that it was stable but the Varkala was so much easier to erect.
It was also incredibly stable, even without the (included) storm straps. We didn't have strong winds but we're confident it'll stand up well.
It's well ventilated, with plenty of options on doors and windows with blinds on all, and Vango's no see-um mesh on some.
Don't think we'll ever go back to traditional poles.
