I love my trailer as anyone who has read my posts before can tell.
I bought a gt750 6ft x 3ft trailer but have extended it twice to accomodate the kit. On reflection I should have bought the 7 ft x 4 ft trailer and extended it. Ah well, next time.
I store it in the garage with kit inside for safe keeping.
My wife put up the cash and I am trying to pay it back but she refuses saying it's HER trailer. Grrrrr.
Weighs in at 540 kilos when almost fully loaded, that's the trailer not wife incidentally. Difficult image to visualise, ' we're gonna need a bigger camera'.
Ah but, you'll pay more on the ferry so I think your wife made the right decision!

Skiiddy, did your trailer come with the stands or did you fit them yourself? Easy enough job (if you did)? Kids are getting bigger and worried they decide to start climbing on the trailer while on a campsite.

No, bought them from Trailer Trek but easily fitted but I did buy a decent metal drill bit. Aluminium is soft so rather easy. Just make sure you drill above the inner floor sufficiently to allow the bolt to tighten! To be honest, I bought two but one I suspect, would have been sufficient.

Oh, and we replaced the standard hard rubber wheel and bought a pneumatic jockey wheel plus a handle. Much easier to manoeuvre over gravel and grass, doesn't bed down.

I bought the stands from Trailer tek, also. They were easy to fit as the previous post describes. However I was surprised to open the pack and discover only 1. I couldn't believe that you would want to fit a single!
However thay are a nice piece of kit. I also fitted the spare wheel carrier.
On the subject of ABS lids and roof bars re the Brenderup 1205 - 2.03m x 1.16m internal dimensions. I was told by email that Brenderup ceased manufacture of their load bars some time ago, and dealers have used up all the old stock. A replacement is in the prototype phase, but with the old version the bars and lid were rumoured to be a bit flimsy and struggled to carry the weight of more than 3 bikes.
I guess this also applies to Brenderup's (almost) identikit imitators you find on fleabay etc - Martz/Faro/Tema/Boro/Neptun and their ilk.
So it's Anssems for me. Oh, to find a good'un s/h.
------------- Nico's short for Nicotine. Of French fags he's very keen.
Does he like nouvelle cuisine? No - the portions are too mean.
I hope you can help as I am looking for the side annex/canopy for a Kampala southwold 8 air tent and as it’s discontinued I am unable to find a new one anywhere so searching for a good second hand one. I note you did a review a few years back hence hope you may either have one or know where I can get one
