Hi all,

Advice much appreciated - have searched the forums but not quite found the info I need.  I'm doing six months with my partner round europe and need to carry gas for cooking and running the fridge.  I've got two Campingaz 907s (2.7kg) but have been talking with MTH autogas (http://www.mthautogas.co.uk/) about getting a 4L (about 1.6kg)  lightweight autogas cannister.

Doing some calculations I estimate that with the cost involved in buying the tank, regulator and shipping (£90) it only works out at saving around £75 over the course of our entire trip by going down the autogas route.  However, could always sell one of our 907s to offset this cost a bit.  I've assumed that 907s cost about £13 to get refilled throughout europe.

I have some reservations about getting the autogas tank in that I've heard autogas pump nozzles are different across europe and not all might fit my bottle which needs to be taken manually to the pump.  Also, autogas availability in Eastern Europe.

So my questions:

1. How much do you think it really costs on average to refill 907 canisters across europe?

2. Are there autogas refilling stations across eastern europe?

2. Is it worth getting autogas for such small usage in your opinion?

Any advice much appreciated!

Nick

It was about 16 euros in 2003  in the French supermarkets to refill a 907 I remember.
