Can anyone supply me with a couple of detailed pictures of a fold up bunk bed. I'm looking to make one myself. Looks to be a couple of sheets of maybe 12mm ply joined with hinges. Dimensions would be useful too. I have wood supports at what would be the head and the foot of the bunk. I can see that the plinth along the front will give strength but the back only seems to have a flimsy panel.

Will now attempt to attach picture of my supports.

unless you find the wood within the walls to support this then it will collapse, cheaper to go to a caravan breakers and get all the bits you are after than bodging what you are intending to do

The wall supports are there in the form of wooden strips which obviously the bed base rests on (sorry can't seem to add photo).

It's a 20+ year old Omega Compass so chances of finding the correct bunk from breakers will be remote I think.

are you 100% sure you have found the correct place? normally its a rather heavy looking chunk of wood hidden behind the wall board, and any breakers will have a bunk for your van, they are basically the same

I've uploaded 3 photos to my gallery.

So if this works 1st image is my caravan with supports.
2nd is an image I found with a bunk installed with same supports as mine.
3rd image is same bunk stored away above window.
