Anyone else get a very distinct hot metal smell when firing up their Truma on gas after a lay off?

Well hard to tell but it set the smoke alarm off so I guess it could be dust.

Tempted to turn it full in for half an hour and see what happens.

My guess is that its just the accumulated dust burning off the hot metal parts and should disappear quickly.

Just thought I would add my experience. All my vans did this when lighting up after storage but soon disappeared. However my present van does this every time it is ignited it is worse using on electric. There is not any fault as I had my van serviced recently so all is running OK but it's so annoying.
