Our old tent is still perfectly usable, but the white inner tents are looking a bit shabby. Can we machine wash them or will they be destroyed?

We've machine washed ours using a delicates cycle ... worked fine.
They might even take a tougher cycle ... but haven't tried that.

Bedroom liners wash well. Check whether material is cotton or polycotton mix. Polycotton can washed at 40degrees whilst cotton is best at 30degrees. All can be washed on a normal machine programme. Also best to dry outside rather than in a tumble dryer. Hard bit is ironing them when dry. Try to iron before they are bone dry, makes it easier to get creases out as does spinning on a lower spin speed on washer. Another tip is to put liners back out on the line after ironing for a few hours that way they wont crease badly when folded for storage. I always check fixings on liners and take the opportunity to make repairs before packing away

We always put ours on a second cycle, without detergent, to make sure none remains (as obviously detergent can destroy the waterproofing on a tent, if it comes into contact with the flysheet)

Also, instead of line-drying and ironing, if you're able to pitch the tent on a nice warm day, just toggle the inner up into position and it'll dry out nicely.

is that an inner on my dome tent thats the sig in contact with the grass????

It may not be a good idea to machine wash your inner, lady cake, as the groundsheet of it needs to be waterproof to protect you in a tent that goes up inner first. I am assuming that the OP was talking about bedroom inner hat sit on top of a groundsheet.

Ladycake, foggers, I wonder if you could use a waterproofing "freindly" detergent such nikwax on the inner, you might even be able to use something like tx10 to top up or reproof the clean groundsheet.

Hello everyone, I'm new to camping and myself and my partner have bought a trailer tent. It's secondhand and needs a bit of maintenance. I need to get curtains and wondered if they needed to be a specific make and I can the inner lining of a trailer tent be taken out and washed? Thank you

Yes bed pods can be taken out and washed. You can make the curtains your self if you have a basic sewing machine (they are only rectangular pieces of material that need hemming). Use old curtains as a pattern or measure up window sizes. If your original curtains have plastic fittins attached just transfer over.
