Why not let us know what you think.
1. No
2. No
3. Not this particular one
It looks like you are paying hefty premium for the Dust-Proof/Waterproof features.
I would rather pick up an Anker branded powerpack, you can get a 16000mah device online for only £21.

Thanks for the feedback so far, keen to hear people's experiences of THIS item as per the first post.
The big difference between these and the numerous other cheapo ones on the market is of course the fact these are waterproof (to IP 67 standard which means complete protection against dust, and protection against water immersion up to 1m and for up to 30 minutes) Oh, and have been and drop tested to 2 meters !

Agreed, but seems pointless when most phones, tablets, laptops aren't IP rated.
I disagree in the use of the term cheap though, Anker (who i mentioned above) are one of the best brands in the world for this type of product.

Yes, sorry, wouldn't call the Anker a cheapo one, I have one myself and it's great - it's some of the other really cheap copies which I was really referring to, which really aren't comparable.
For anyone who is interested in a waterproof and really tough battery pack though, then these Varta ones are definitely worth a look

I agree with all of that.
If people understood battery tech they would know the devices you see claiming to be 50000mah for example for under a tenner are more than likely to be 5000mah if that! I would say for cheaper devices 5400mah for £10 would be the best you could expect.
If you have a JCB Tough Phone then this Varta device would go nicely with it!

For my iphone i just have a mophie juice case which gives me plenty of power and its all in one.
I really fail to see why its needs to be ip rated either but its good the bigger one can charge two devices at once, it must have a use for somebody away from a car charger.
Is there a market for a tough battery or is it design for the sake of design ? Only time will tell i suppose.
The IP rating is a bonus but not something i would even look for.
Obviously if it was a choice between one with or without at the same price point and options, then the IP would be the deciding factor.
As Lockie stated the only reason i would want one with this feature was if i was going somewhere that needed it, and then i would need a similar phone to match haha
I got a Lidl one. 2300mah. Was very handy on our last non ehu trip.

Varta is a 'known' brand and as such will carry a price premium on top of any premium for battery quality & IP Rating.
Many of the very cheap units available at any of the well known on-line outlets will likely to have been made using cheap materials and possibly without any kind of overload protection and so have questionable safety concerns.
Personally, I would never buy any battery item at a too good to be true price. A long time ago I bought some 'high capacity' rechargeable AA batteries which drained more quickly than good batteries with half the capacity and failed to hold their charge when not being used.
While I like a bargain like most people, It usually works out cheaper to buy quality. Much better to buy once and use many times than to buy many to use once.
