I have a butterfly drainer from a catalogue that has a base that fits over the one supplied and collapsible wire racks with two settings. This folds down when stored and holds at least eight plates upright. I store it in a an old pillowcase in the table slot. Must be about 8yr old by now tho.
B & M have been selling brilliant collapsible dish drainers approx £5, we bought one for our van and its really good - I believe The Range are also selling them.
£25 in John Lewis and identical.
We used to use a small rack but it took up space in the cupboard needed for something more important (probably the beer). Washer-upper hands to dryer-upper, no rack needed.
