I'm going away with my two daughters and a group of mums and kids in the summer for a few days. I'm taking a much, much smaller tent Gelert Rocky 4 and not sure what to do about cooker etc. I'm sure we will group our equipment together but thinking of a utility tent? Any recommendations? I don't really want to spend a lot of money as I don't think we will use it on main camping trip. Thanks.
I have used the windbreaks with canopy which work ok and helps keep you dry if you are cooking in the rain. however, you really need to lower the canopy in strong winds, so any cooking gear then either needs moving inside or covering securely with a tarp to keep it protected and dry.
I finally bought the Royal utility tent which makes a great kitchen tent and has withstood some horrendous weather.
