Hi, we have an image 420 aerial which have yet to try out. I realise I need some sort of pole to support the aerial, my question being;
1) can this be wood dowel or does it have to be metal.
2) We have a steel poled tent, could I make a short mast and just clamp it to steel pole at the highest point making sure it has adequate support.
As the recommended steel poles cost as must as the aerial itself.
Thanks in advance

We have just bought an aerial and pole from screwfix with 2 clamps for £17.50.
Have already tried it and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the link Andyl2444, we have a decorators pole - just needs a bit of cleaning!
Still interested if I could use a 2ft length of wooden pole and then clamp it to one of the tents external poles. Looks like I might have to try it when we go, I'll have to take both (separate extendable pole and dowel option)
