I have noticed there is a lot of difference in the quality of these- some you only get to cook the odd sausage or 2 on, others last for ages could you advise on which type seem to last the longest, or is it just me?
me and three friends covered 15000 miles last year in the car across europe,we only used disposable bbqs!.all we done was to buy 2 throwaway bbqs from asda, they are the rounded dish type with a metal grill that rests on top(one bbq for two people).we used them everyday and they were exelent.i plan to take the same ones away with me this year.buy the charcoal abroad ,its about 2 euros for 4-5 kilos and lasts for days!....we also used them for heating when a chill set in.after 2-3 days we had the things ready and set up within 5 mins.fill em up with the coals,a quick squirt of bbq fuel and your ready to place those bangers on the grill.no need to clean, just empty when cold usualy spreading the ashes around a tree or hedge .pop it into a bin liner and thats it......no fuss!!!.1.99 from asda....hope this helps.
We always buy a small bag of charcoal and top up the disposable BBQ's with it. Just remove the wire grill, top it up with a few more lumps of charcoal and then replace the wire grill, it will burn a lot longer.
