Hi everyone,
I wonder if you could give me bit of advice.
I am currently choosing sleeping bags for the young ones, and I really like SPRAYWAY challenger 350 junior (they are under £30 which is a plus) The info on their website says comfort limit -1 and upper limit +14, their dad says it's too warm and that I will"cook" them, and that I should go for some lighter ones, what do you think? we plant to camp from May to September.I feel I rather they were warmer and can always unzip than if they get cold? ( they are 5 & 7) But as a camping novice I might be wrong and they really are too warm, so any advice will be appreciated
Go for too warm every time, can always use it unzipped. We bought a Hi Gear Spirit Jnr 300 for our young uns and they love 'em, 9yr old had a different one before and had complained it was too thin and not very warm, no complaints now.
------------- If something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds I'll assume I'm not allowed to post it!!
They will be fine. I don't tend to feel the cold but my bag is comfort rated at -5 to 0 and I'm not too warm when camping. You can always unzip the bag for a really warm night!

July 2015 - Manorafon 4 nights
August 2015 - Piccadilly Caravan park 3 nights

A distant friend gave me 2 old children's sleeping bags. At age 5 1/2 my children were too big (or tall rather) for them. My dad has my old sleeping adult bag which is 24 years old and is milletts own brand. My ds has an adult sleeping bag from tesco (can't remember the brand). Do 2 is in the children's bag still.
Will happily buy adult bags for them for DofE but as they do not need to be as warm as adults they get less warm ones.
My suggestion is to get adult ones now for them at the cheaper end of the scale. However the ones you are looking at sound fine.
