I volunteer for a local charity and we are looking to buy a gazebo to provide some shelter in the garden when we have events. It seems on here that they're pretty hated on campsites, but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.
The budget is pretty flexible, so I would be interested to hear of a range of prices to feed back to the committee.
Most gazebos aren't waterproof but will provide shelter against the sun and light showers.
The cheaper pop-up gazebos tend to buckle and fold under the slightest breeze.
How about a Coleman Event Shelter?
They come different sizes and the Pro version in the link offer a bit more protection against the rain.
You can add side walls / doors etc. to give added protection where necessary.

There are many Posts about Gazebo's like Here for example. If you are serious about them and want a quality and sturdy Gazebo then take a look Here.
That rock awnings website looks brilliant thanks. Do you have any personal experience with them?
I got an awing from argos, its the cheap pop up one and its marvelous, has a vent in the top and small air holes in each quarter of the top and it was waterproof enough to keep us dry in a pretty hard shower, this could be ideal if only required occasionally, cant fault mine.

Indeed i do as i have the Explorer 3 x 4.5m with side walls. Had this up in harsh wind conditions on the beach and did not move.
Many of my friends are in the Detailing Trade and use the Pro 50. They only use these because they are solid, can be held down in harsh windy conditions and are fully waterproof.
You only get what you pay for.

Got an urban escape event shelter from halfords. It's just a cheaper version off the Colemans. It stood up to some pretty high wind whilst being in Cornwall last week, however the sides you can buy wasn't the best in high wind and pulled the elastic clip on on 2 off the sides but like said it was very windy. Can also be pegged down if used on grass
