Look at The Seaside Company. We bough two of their beach chairs and are very pleased with them. Comfy, light weight but very strong.

I've just purchased a couple of Kampa Sandy chairs. They seem comfy and are under £19 at Camperite.

We're a bit short on packing space so have a couple of Laguna CB beach chairs, currently £25.00 for x2 on the official Laguna site.

They have a very small pack size, are extremely lightweight and have a strong carrying-strap, so just sling them over your shoulder and off you go!

This i just what I was going to ask as well :) the reviews on the lafuma (laguna) I didn't think were so good so have gone for the sunncamp ones. If gers crossed they're as good as the reviews :)

I have the Outwell beach chairs, they are in a stripe fabric, £54 for two. What I like about them is the sturdy arms which you can use to lever yourself out of the chairs, which is not that easy to do in a ladylike manner!

Alite designs Mayfly chair........brilliant bit of kit, light, compact and very comfy.
Too expensive though! I didn't pay full price for mine but I still wouldnt reveal how much it cost ! All I will say is too much..

I looked at the Outwell ones, and they've got a bar under the legs, they always end up digging into me. I'm liking the v expensive ones though Frog, can I twist your arm I to sharing where you got them from for such a fabulous price!

Hi Smiledmb I got mine from a retailer that had unfortunately for them marked it up at the wrong price. I have already been verbally abused by a close friend for not buying their entire stock and then putting them on eBay !!!!
The best price I have seen recently is £71 from simply hike and I have to say I am so impressed I might even pay that for one for the wife.
