I usually bring our DVD player to plug the TV into as that works as a digi box but we are away and I forgot it, what can I buy that's not too expensive that I can leave in the van and not get caught out?
We are at York caravan site that has TV plug in points! Never seen this before is this like a digital service as if so I will go purchase 25 meters of coaxial cable from screw fix and plug in? Can anyone advise please thanks

Hi, Have you tried on Freecycle website? Just look for the area you are in,there are lots of digi boxes about nowdays that people give them away, or if you can get hold of a TalkTalk youview box, (Ebay) you can use these at home and record lots of films and programs onto them then take it away with you and watch them if there is nothing on the TV.
The plug in tv point is just an aerial socket that will be connected to a large aerial somewhere on site. Its great if your own aerial doesn't get a very good signal.
Hope this info helps.
Yes but you need to plug an aerial into a TV point and a lot of sites will lend you one if you haven't got one. The OP said "Never seen this before is this like a digital service as if so I will go purchase 25 meters of coaxial cable from screw fix and plug in?".
Either use van aerial or site tv point. You do not plug an aerial in to the site tv point, it is already connected to one at the other end,you either plug it into a digibox and then to a tv or a digital tv. To use the site tv point you need a cable from the box to the van. Most supermarkets sell Digiboxes quite cheaply just remember to reset them for the area you are in.
Talk of aerials is a bit pointless, without a digibox he can have as big a aerial as he wants he will get no picture with the relevant tuner. Try Tesco or Argos or Asda or some other place like that which sells electrical items for your digibox they are cheap but the work well.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

OK, I'm sorry, I used the incorrect word. I should have said coaxial cable. You need one of those and a lot of sites lend them to you.

But without the digital box he has no tuner, presumably since he is looking for a digi box his TV is an older analogue only TV
