Can anyone advise on good awning lighting, the one on my van is broken and needs either replacing or I need to find something else to put in there so the awning can be used in the evenings. At the moment we have a small camping light that is not very good. Thanks in advance

The whole unit is sealed maybe a previous owner glued it to stop leaks so need a new light unit but not sure it will give enough light for whole awning or if it's just ok as a see the door and step light lol

I once got a flouresant twin light from Halfords a few years back.

That was electric and used to cable tie it to the awning roof support bars, great light, and lasted us years, in fact am looking at getting a new one for this van, maybe led if i can find one.

12v led strips from ebay are really good. They will come with a dc jack plug to connect with a battery or a 240 v strip will need an adaptor. Its made a huge difference to my tent lighting. No more batteries.
Love it. I have an Anker battery pack with a 12v outlet and 3 usb ports. Not cheap but powers the light runs a tablet and charges a phone.

We use an inspection lamp. It has a hook so can just be hooked to the awning rails wherever you want it, We plug it into the outside socket in the wet locker.
