hi

How can I identify which model Thetdord Cassette Ports Potti I have. A pic is posted. I took out the pump and the impeller is free which I am led to understand means that probably the pump is okay. I was told the other area to look at would be a micro switch. Does anyone know where that would be located. I see a wire leading from where the pump is located to the turning mechanism inside the outside locker. Would it be in that panel which looks like I can unscrew and take off? We just had a lovely 10 days in the Ayr Campsite in StIves, but I would like to have a flushing toilet before we go to the Isle of Wight. Thanks

Click on this link and then select thetford toilets and then model numbers to then show parts lists.

Thanks Birdman I looked at the schematics but still don't know about the micro switch. Where would you think it is located, or do you know of another topic stream on this website that could give me a hint?

I think it is a C2 Having looked closer at the schematic I feel it must be directly below the flush assembly inside the locker box. Might be wrong.

Hi

I have located what I think is the micro switch, about 1 inch long and half inch wide, about 1/4 inch deep with a metal flap that depresses when the cassette is pushed in. There seems to be a small led light and I would imagine it goes on when the cassette is pushed in. There is no light when I press the metal arm against the light. Could this be the problem I need a new micro switch?

The red LED light on top of the flush tank is nothing to do with the micro switch, it illuminates to indicate that the waste tank is full and requires emptying.
There is a part inside the top of the waste tank compartment that pushes a part down when you install the waste tank but that is a valve that opens the vent on the top of the waste tank.

Fuse shown in pink

Ithink the micro switch is inside the carrier to the left in this picture,
have a look to see if the 2 wires each side of the fuse are still connected, sometimes with the constant moving when opening the blade they can break off or corrode.
If you do have to remove this carrier you will need a long screwdriver to remove the screw under the large flush push button on the top of the toilet,
You will need rubber arms to unscrew the rest of the carrier from inside the compartment because of the tight space you have to work in???

Alpiner
I finally got fed up and took the thing apart and discovered the fuse housing missing. I found it below in the floor of the locker. It seems to be missing a part that holds it in place. I will probably need to rig up an in line auto fuse. Hopefully this will solve the problem. Thanks for the great picture and explanation.
