Well I must say, just doing a search for it online, it looks a marvellous bit of kit and would no doubt suit my DIL down to the ground since she's more into Glamping than bog standard camping Although I have no idea how on earth they'd get it in their car with all the other stuff they need to take!
But out of curiosity I just had a quick squiz at the cost of it at a local retailer to find out a price...GULP......in a camping store close to our home it's on sale for a hefty £199.99 and it's reduced from £249.99 oh my days! Cost almost as much as their tent
Hi - we love ours!!! - It's great for roasting and reheating. We've cooked full roast dinners in this with great success. Cooked some part baked bread rolls and even made fresh hot cross buns one Easter! We've tried baking scones - when it's not so good. The heat comes from the bottom of the oven only so if you are not careful things do burn from the bottom. The temperature control is basic - high or low - hence it is not so good for baking. We have found placing a 'spare' baking pan on the shelf directly above the flame does protect things cooking above.
It does generate some heat - be careful touching the outside when it is on!! Overall....love this oven :)
If you go EHU then consider a Ramoska (from Lakeland). Less bulky and easy to clean. No pre-heating necessary. Low wattage so doesn't trip the lecci. Great piece of kit, wouldn't be without mine (use it at home as well when I don't want to put the big oven on). Also, it's available in two sizes.
Hi I agree with zippy great piece of kit , burners on top are good size
Too. Used ours in Cornwall for week didn't seem to use too much gas
either. We use an easy camp sarin stand fits the lower shelf perfectly.
