In need of some help, ive been trying to find somewhere that can fill a BP gaslight bottle but with no success.
However ive seen that home base do there own range of gaslight the bottles look the same does anyone know if they can fill a BP bottle?

As far as I know you can exchange them at Homebase (also see here) unless anyone knows different?

I often see the BP GasLite Green and Opaque 5kg cylinders down at my local council tip, I may just put an offer in as it would be a cheap way to get started with these handy size cylinders.

Changed a 10kg at my local Homebase last week, £35 for a refill, couldn't find any BP garages that do them any more. Its run by Flogas now, not BP.

Yep MacGas seem to be the brand owners now, pity that BP GasLite did not make it into Europe, especially as the Regulator used is the same as one of the French brands, surely you think a deal could be struck, which would be of benefit to all parties.

Strange how CampinGaz has hung onto it's monopoly.

Yep, it surely has to be the same regulator fitting Bob, it's just that there is no agreement in place for refill exchange.

Having said that, how would they know, unless there is some kind of brand identifier on the cylinder, who knows.

Although I don't think that cylinder type is available in France in any case, which is the country that I would need to get a refill exchanged.

You would think with all the Euro stuff, there would be more than just CampinGaz cylinders that are available both here and in France.

I will speak to my Euro MP, who ever that maybe, and pop the question.

Yes, only available in Benelux, apparently, and on the collar states "This cylinder only to be filled by Benegas".

we have had BP gaslight now for nearly 10 years, we exchange empty cylinders at Homebase but try and get the 15% off weeekend as it also includes BP gas. If you get a 5kg bottle you can up size it to a 10kg at Homebase no problem.

We recently tried to change our 5 for a 10 as we used to do but we're refused as according to the store this is not possible by their rules. I had managers trooping out of the office to confirm. Each time I protested I was told it is not possible

well i dont know why as they do here in cheshire. bp have the contract with homebase --it's still the same just someone else taken over the ownership.
