Hello all
I am looking into possibly getting an oven now I have my trailer and a bit more room to take my camping gear. I have seen an oven in Argos and it is a 1300W. Would this be okay to use on site or would I trip the electrics?
I thought it would open up a few more ideas for meals for us. I am not sure how to put the link on here but will try.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give. :-)

We used the one from Lidl for our 15 nights down at Frejus this year and it was perfect.
We downsized from the older 15lt Lidl model which was 1380watt, great oven just a little on the big side.
Lidl have got them in again as of around a week ago, £27 size is good at 14 lt and power is 1200watt so around 5amp.
The Lidl model fits perfectly into a "Really Useful Box" 42lt size, great for protection during transit and also prevents the door from flying open.
The "Really Useful Box" is £10.99 + vat from Makro, or around £14 inc vat, from B&Q etc.

I also have the 1380w Lidl oven and it is great. Never tripped the electric when using it.

Yep, Helen my 15lt Lidl oven did develop an intermitant fault in that it would annoyingly trip the campsite electrics now and again.
We even tested it at home and on occasion it would do the same to the house electrics.
But worked fine all through Christmas Day last when it was used as extra capacity.
We stripped it down, and could not find anything obvious, it is a really weird fault.
I don't want to throw it away, so will still use it at home now and again.
The new 14lt model is much better for us, it takes up less space, and as I mentioned is a perfect fit for the "Really Useful 42lt Box".
To be honest the fact that the new oven is 1lt smaller, is something that we don't even notice.
Would not go for the Aldi 10lt oven that is on offer next week, now that is way to small.

If you are on a campsite which is supplying 10 amps of power then you can use electrical appliances up to 2300 watts before they trip the electrics.
Check out the Watts to Amps conversion chart at the bottom of this page
The thing to look for with mini ovens apart from the wattage is the interior size because some of the cheaper ones won't take anything much bigger than one ready meal.
