I am not the greatest fan of Melamine plates and recall a thin, pyrex like toughend glass range but cannot remember the name........could anyone help please?

Corelle might seem expensive, but it's well worth it.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
not meaning to brag but the two sets I've had both have cups or mugs made out of the tempered glass although the handles do worry me so they don't go camping, they were bought second hand so quite old.
GSI polypropylene - tough, & size for size about 25% the weight of tempered glass/corelle plus you feel like you're camping & not going for tea at your grans.
We have the ikea one's. They are thin so weight is not an issue, we have them stacked in the caravan and they have travelled lots of miles this year with no breakages. If there were breakages, they are so cheap we would just buy more. I have put them into the oven,to keep food warm and they did the job just fine.
Hello, I have looked on line at the Ikea product and can only see two products in this range, a 10" plate and a pudding type bowl, is that correct or is there more to the range?

I like to have camping things as close to real things as possible. Real mugs and corelle plates + bowls. Glass beer and wine glasses etc
when I went out for the first trip in my first caravan, (Avondale perle argos) I put the new (supermarket) set of plates etc in the cupboard along with the beer and wine glasses. Set out from Bolton to Camber sands, called at motorway services for a tea and pee break, opened caravan door and was greeted by a mountain of broken crockery and glass. Not a single item survived
If one likes white only, and would like a few extra as spares, then I would strongly recommended the catering quality of Arcoroc's Opal range of tampered glass crockery:
This is what I would buy if I were to replace my cheapo ones made from the same factory sold under the Tesco Value range a good few years ago (now discontinued).
And they work out cheaper by buying in 6's.
