I think my battery charger doesnt work so can anyone recommend a charger to install in my caravan?

There will be a product number and other details on the existing charger somewhere which needs to be replaced with an identical model of the same rating etc. Once you have located the number you can search on the net for an identical replacement or maybe contact 'Leisure Shop Direct' as they can offer advice how to check to see if your existing charger has malfunctioned.

Could i not just buy a retrofit charger and fit it in the caravan? Its a power centre 2 thats in there at the moment. Ive googled that plenty of times and i saw an advert for a second hand one which was a lot more than a connect and forget charger.

I checked out my daughter`s charger although in a motorhome [very similar] as it failed removed it then removed the cover inside was a blown 30A blade type fuse as used in car`s, replaced it and all has been fine since. Toured the south for two weeks no problems at all, so worth a look as it was going to cost them about £90 for a new charger.

You need a proper caravan transformer/charger about £100 to replace your defective item to do the job properly. If you just want a cheap, easy fix use any cheap battery charger plugged into mains socket in caravan while on ehu and charge leisure battery as required.

Ouch......im hoping its an internal fuse or something simple. Who said caravanning was fun?

Ive taken the charger out and the ve+ pin came out of the circuit board so ove soldered that back on...also the internal glass 2A fuse has blown so hopefully i can get one tomorrow for a few £ and itll all work...fingers crossed...saves me a lot of money if it works. Ill post an update tomorrow
