Hi has anybody used glue to glue anything to their groundsheet?..i want to glue some strips of velcro to hold down my tent carpet and dont want to melt the groundsheet using the wrong glue.found some pe glue on ebay which sounds like it will do the job

You can buy sticky back velcro but not sure how it would fair in the heat of a tent.

Possibility of it peeling off Bob, we have done it to the door mat in the house by conservatory, it is one big black sticky mess of glue when the velcro came off.

superglue, I repaired a hole in the ground sheet on a backpacking tent about 3 years ago and it's still stuck solid.

Stormsure flexible adhesive is what i've used in the past with excellent results.

Sticky back velcro ain't nice when it gets hot .

If you don't fancy sticky stuff, you could always lay down pieces of that tacky rubbery mesh sold as anti-slip matting, often in pound shops... it works really well. I use in in our Outwell.
