We have a double posadas pop up camp bed then our air bed, then electric blanket, a fleece topper on top and a double valanced sheet to hold them all together, then a duck/goose down duvet. And a overthrow to help stop the dogs paw prints. toasty
Haha! It does sound like The Princess and the Pea!
Just a thought - how long have you had your sleeping bags? I've read that their effectiveness can reduce with time and use. Also a person's age can be a factor in keeping warm so you may have to make adjustments to your sleeping set-up as the years go by.

Yes I agree, OH suffers with the cold more than me as he is on warfarin drugs, but the set up we use keeps him toasty and I just stick my legs out to cool down if necessary lol
Good point about the age of the bags armchaircamper. About 8 years, I think.
I do rather think it is age though....he is 3 years older than me and I wasn't cold
We have had to put the "test" off until next weekend as DH is now working this one - not pleased about that I can tell you, I wanted to be camping both weekends
------------- I have NEVER been lost, though I do admit to spending several hours locationally challenged
More tentage = Campus Sherpa 4 - reproofed and still going strong
In Memorandum = Vango Quest, Khyam Chatsworth, and a frame tent OH wouldn'try!!!!

Thanks Gingerfifi for sharing. We have camped all year round for years and almost never been cold for long. We must be getting old cos my hubby felt cold for a long time on our last outing and that is unusual. He works outdoor most of the time and doesn't generally feel the cold. I have not got the fleece underblankets yet but this is the order we are going with bottom to top:-
Footprint
SIG
Sleeping pod groundsheet
Picnic blanket
Roll mat
Airbed
SIM
Fitted Fleece underblanket (in place of our usual sheet)
Sleeping bag
Fleece or wool blanket over the top
I am confident that should do the trick. There is no hope for me cos I am always cold although I do not feel it myself. Hubby is convinced I am not human and calls me Zanussi!
I can't stand airbed because they move so much. What are they like with a sim on top?
