If you are near Colchester then Go Outdoors have a good selection & also Weely Caravans are worth a visit, their prices are as or more reasonable than Go. Rather than buy online it's a good idea to examine items yourself & sit in chairs. Google for both websites & you can see what is available.

Isabella Thor Comfort Chairs are probably the best available at the moment. We treated ourselves to a pair and find them excellent for sitting at our picnic table and also particularly for relaxing with the separately available leg rests. Chairs will set you back £120 ish a pair and leg rests another £22 each. (10% discount for CC members at Highbriidge Caravans)

Oh! And best picnic table I've found is the Lafuma California table. Suits us but perhaps not everyone. Adjustable individual legs.

I remember seeing some nice cheap tables in Decathlon last year. I wonder if they are cheaper in France??? It's going to be our first trip to France this year and I'm thinking we'll need some outdoor furniture and a new cheap gas BBQ.
Let me know if you spot any bargains.

Over thirty odd years of caravanning we've had a variety of chairs and tables, and have now settled on what, for us, is a perfect solution.

We had Isabella chairs, bought at the NEC just a couple of years ago, and I hated them! They were stolen from our caravan this summer, and to be honest I'm glad they've gone. We both found that sitting upright the backs weren't square enough, and the seat depth wasn't enough and cut into the back of your knees, and for 'lounging' the folding 'foot rests' just collapsed if you put your weight on them.

We've gone back to our 6 euro folding plastic chairs for sitting at the table, and two Lafuma loungers we bought in France for just 59 euros each.   Four folding chairs stack on top of each other, top to toe, and they and the two Lafumas fit perfectly in the space under our fixed bed We have a collapsible plastic table which we also bought from a French supermarket, I think that was twelve euros about fifteen years ago. It just fits a perfect space against the wall at the side of our bed whilst travelling!

Don't forget whatever you buy, six of them will take up a lot of room. I'd look at the folding plastic ones for sitting at the table, and as many comfortable loungers as you can fit in, on top of those.

We'll be back in late February when the supermarkets start stocking up for the summer, and I'll have a look. Certainly last year Lafuma loungers in the Geant in Carcassonne were just 59 euros each. I posted about this in June when we bought some. Whether they're cheaper or not this year will depend on the pound/euro exchange rate, which is dropping at the moment.

Two folding rocker loungers from Pound stretchers, two folding very lightweight directors chairs from Towsure(with the folding table attached)suit us fine,I cut two pieces of two inch foam to size, made the covers to fit,and although cheap, they bear my 16 stone frame with no trouble at all,as said, best try first as we're all different,as for the table,we simply take the caravan one outside when needed, that is kept in the awning (as we eat in that) to give us a bit more room inside the van.

For eating at we just use the caravan table. We leave it set up in the awning and if nice will carry it outside.
We have a little fold up table to put by our chairs to put cups/books etc.on rather than on the floor.
Isabella comfort chair as they are ok for sitting at the table and can be reclined, have the footrest that clips onto it too.

From ValA's posting
"We had Isabella chairs, bought at the NEC just a couple of years ago, and I hated them! They were stolen from our caravan this summer, and to be honest I'm glad they've gone. The Isabella Thor Comfort Chair is an updated version of the previous Comfort chair which had bungee type elastic strapping securing the padded seating. Both chairs were being sold by Isabella at the NEC show in October. But we were told the old type were being phased out. After much deliberation we thought the new chair was more comfortable and has proved ideal for either sitting at a table or relaxing with the leg rest affixed. Previously we had the Dukdalf chairs which required extra cushioning for comfort. The Thor chairs though are quite bulky and if six are required would probably take up a lot of storage.
Obviously though with any chair for comfort padding is required and this is bound to make them bulkier.

We're currently deciding on our seating strategy - this is for camping so space and weight in a small car is always a consideration.

It's come down to either 2 Lafuma (or Isabella) recliners plus 2 cheap Decathlon folding chairs for sitting at the table versus 2 Isabella Thor chairs plus footrests. The first option costs a bit more, takes up more room but is probably more comfortable, and the reverse for the second option.

Any advice ? Also does anyone know what the difference is between the Isabella Thor and Odin chairs ? And how far they recline ?

Thanks in advance.

We have Lafuma loungers ... three different types! For hot hols, the non padded, easy clean material (Essential if used in any perspiration inducing weather!
And for round the table we use the little folding Lafuma table chairs ...
Like Val, these pack under our bed unit.
We've had several tables ... a couple of the best were solid plastic garden patio tables with legs that screwed, or, slotted, on and off.
Currently we have something like this, which we got in France ... the individually adjustable legs makes for a much more stable table (LOL).
Cheaper Lafumas are available here, but you may find cheaper in France ... we got ours at a garden furniture shop in rural France, whi were doing a clearance sale.
The Lafumas have a clip on drink and small tray unit ... as an extra ... well worth it!
