Regarding thickness not sure to stick to a 7cm thick on or 10cm... any advice on difference in comfort too would be appreciated. We'd be using without a camp bed.
Ones I've seen so far which have good reviews are.
Alpkit Dozer
Outwell Dreamcatcher (bit less expensive.)
Looking for something reliable and warm since we sometimes camp in cooler months.
Thanks

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I thought the Alpkit Dozer was discontinued? I have the Gelert Adventure XL which is a 10 cm and very comfortable but then I do use it on a camp bed. I always fancied the Skandika one on Amazon but then it's probably very bulky to pack! skandika sim
Alpkit had a supply issue with their tarps, however, I believe the issue is resolved as I remember reading about their tarps being available again (limited stock though).
I have two 7.5cm Therm-a-rest Luxury Map XL.
Bought one and found it to be very comfortbale when used directly on the floor (I normally use it on a camp bed), I bought a second one as a spare in case I have company, as I cannot fit 2 camp beds inside the sleeping area of the Hypercamp Escala 4.

I double checked Campernik and the Alpkit site are selling the dozer (it shows stock anyway).
I'll weigh it up with the other recommendations. Went to Go tonight to take a look at some but they didn't have much in to sample.. probably too much to ask at this time of year though.

Love the Outwell Dreamboat which we lay over the Posadas double bed. You have to keep the mattress flat when storing to ensure no vapour is left inside which is a pain but very, very comfortable. Also used as a great spare bed.
I bought a couple of Alpkit Dozers last year and can throughly recommend them. They are super comfy and have made the world of difference to our quality of sleep. We use them on a Posadas campbed.

People have told us that a SIM plus campbed combination is the most comfort you can get in a tent set-up but what about a decent double SIM on the floor? The bedroom pods in an Outwell Hartford XL (2013) are a tight squeeze for two or perhaps a double camp bed)
We've always used the Dozers on a campbed, but I think they'd be perfectly comfortable directly on the floor. I wouldn't go with a double SIM though. The secret to a good night's sleep is not being disturbed every time your partner moves about. Our double campbed was terrible until we added single SIMs.

Not slept on the floor on it but we have friends who have. They popped a cheap double memory foam topper from Dunelm on top and described it as "lush".
