Hi folks,
We often go camping in a large group of family tents. We all have electric hook-up and we take a large coleman event shelter to sit under and chat the night away.
Many sites these days have a no camp fire rule but allow BBQ's up off the grass.
Thinking of getting a table top patio heater to run off a patio gas or propane 5kg bottle.
(we already have a 4.5kg calor bottle of butane for the camping stove but dont think this would be suitable to switch between devices because of the regulators)
So a few questions troubling me: -
1) Do we still break the no campfire rule with a gas heater like these?
2) How "portable" are they as I would need to dissemble / pack away into a trailer.
3) Will they will be safe to use under the confines of a gazebo with 3 or all 4 sides on?
4) anything I havent thought of (maybe alternatives like bioethanol fires)
We purchased a Table Lantern from Tesco a couple of years ago as it was on offer, for 3 reasons,
1) Bit of heat
2) Light
3) Keep the bugs away
Not brilliant heat but good light.
Hi , when you say in your number 3 Keep the bugs away ? I go sea fishing and camping and usually find that any light seems to attract every bug under the sun/moon , just interested how they keep the bugs away ? cheers Ken.
Whoops byngo1 just realised I just poached your thread ,sorry will put my question in a quote.
