So bought the tent from NEC the other day, now i need to get a couple of sleeping bags, trouble is i'm a fat lad and the Mrs ain't now lightweight (lucky she knows nothing about how to turn a PC on) so rather then get a double and be stuck together like glue, we have decided to go single route, plus i'll be camping on my own sometimes so single is handy as it's all got to fit on a motorbike.
At my roundest point (no not my head) i'm 180cm now that mearsurment does gve me a bit of slack so thinking something that comes up as 90cm wide will "just about" do it, am i right i should i give more room? So far i have come up with a few, they are as follows:

Coleman Vail Comfort Single Sleeping Bag

Vango Serenity Grande Sleeping Bag

Outwell Contour Lux XL Sleeping Bag

Can you suggest any others that may be suitable that i can buy nowadays, i tend to sleep on my sides most of the time, also is a liner worth it? I hope your not eating right now but i tend to sleep naked so no idea if that matters re the liner, not a nice image i know soz, finally left and right zips why do they matter?

I got this one recently from Amazon UK. I'm 'generously proportioned' too and this one has loads of room to spare.

I don't like feeling cramped in sleeping bags so this week we got from Go Outdoors 2 bags called "The Beast" by Hi Gear. £ 34.99. 3 seasons and trust me they are really large. Haven't used yet as you can imagine but look like they will be ample for our needs.
I believe they do others not so warm called something like the snooze.

It's definately not a three season bag. I thought the zip was sturdy enough. I'm happy with it for a £36 bag when I'll probably use it either with EHU and a small fan heater or in a small tent like my Vango Halo that is much easier to keep warm than a tent with huge space above me.

Hi Frazzle- I did look at that as it looks almost perfect but some people have said it does not pack down very well, can you comment on this as it does need to go on a motorbike with all my other kit i need to be careful.

Take a look at carp fishing sleeping bags, ultra warm and designed for big people. I have one and my wife can easily snuggle up in my sleeping bag alongside me even though it's a single.

I fished in winter in it with frost on the ground and was toasty in it.

Thanks lockie I did see someone mention carp bag before but was unsure how well they pack down as i guess most fishing guys have cars etc and being on a bike i'm worried about space but looking at some of the offerings from JRC they look cool so will do more digging on these and see what goes thanks for the suggestion.

Me and my hubby are pretty big. He has a double sleeping bag, but finds that a bit too big, and it's not a great one so doesn't retain the heat very well.

I have a Vango Dormir grande which is plenty big enough for me - loads of room to wiggle about. And it's very warm. if anything it's too warm, I sleep with it unzipped, otherwise I'd cook in there.

I've also slept in one of the Gelert pod bags. Don't think I'd recommend that. Plenty of width room, but it's really quite short. I'm under 5', so I was OK, but only just. Also not particularly warm.

I have checked but that is only 80cm wide, so no good for me but thanks for the suggestion.
