Hi
Does anyone know the size/type of battery charger i need to charge up my 90AH battery, just started caravanning, its a brand new battery, went away last weekend, it was hooked up for 2 1/2 days.... Will there still be enough to use my motormover , ie get it out, or should i take off and charge every trip ?
TIA

I always charge battery when returning after a trip. I have the caravan at home which makes things easy.
It would be best to take battery home after a trip and charge up, even a trickle charger would keep it charged, ready for when you go away again.
Also if not using the van in winter months take battery home and charge every 4-6 weeks.

Only on hookup every other weekend Kenles, the van ,s on a storage site rest of time, so given that i always need it to get OFF the storage compound, and given that it,ll be on hook up friday,5ish till sunday 12ish then used to put it back.... Will i still need to charge up every trip ?

Well the mover got us off the storage pitch, on the pitch for the weekend, off the pitch and back on at the storage end, so let's see if it gets us off again this weekend

I've been advised that the charging current should not be greater than 1/10 of the amp hour rating of the battery (particularly important for smaller batteries, such as those on motorcycles). I do however use a numax leisure charger which is 12v 10a. For my Numax 75ah leisure battery. Have done for 2 years and had no probs.
Have a look round though, you can get them cheaper than Halfords and at a higher wattage eg 25w on ebay is £30 or a 30w one on Amazon with a charge controller for the same as the Halfords one
