Hi All
We have a VW T25 with a Rock n Roll bed. We have been using self inflating single mats for the past few years, but I never get a good nights sleep as the foam in the rock and roll mattress is still hard on my back even with the mats on top. Have been looking at the Duvalay Matress Toppers but they are very expensive at £140 for a small double but guess that is because they are made to roll up too?? Just wondering if they are worth the investment or if there are any others people have used under £100 which roll up for storage when in transit?
Many thanks
Try using a duvet from home underneath first, before committing to a big purchase. You can make your own duvalay if you're handy, but we hold a duvet on with a cheap mattress topper that has elastic corners. However, it's bulky when storage space is limited. Search on this forum for memory foam too - some folk find it's good for softening mattresses, though I think you get what you pay for and again, it's not a small item rolled up..
We have used mattress toppers bought on eBay and thought they were comfortable but a bit bulky however two years go we decide to get custom fit Duvalay - certainly not cheap but far more comfortable and less bulky.
Many thanks to everyone for their replies.
We will try a nice think duvet first and if this doesn't work will look at Duvaley stockists to see what they are like (and which one rolls up the smallest - my guess is the more expensive one as always!!)
Thanks again

As you say, the Duvalays are not cheap but we have had ours for over 6 years now and they have been well used but are still just as comfortable. They now come in different mattress thicknesses I believe, but they are quite bulky to store so check your available storage space before buying.
found with self inflating mattress, the harder you make it the less comfortable it is, so I adjust it to make it softer, just so when you lie on your side you can't feel the mattress, worked quite well.
