A Warning to anyone thinking of buying vango products
, we recently purchased a vango attar 380 air beam from nearly new tents on ebay part of amg group and vanco , on reciving the awning with no instructions we inflated it but it just kept falling over
the velcro on the beams was not sticking , also all the plastic windows were brittal and wrinkled , you cant see out of them , we were offered 35 pounds refund we have had the awning now for 3 weeks and they have not done a think to resolve the problem, we have now bought a new awning , and are out of pocket hundreds of pounds , we send emails daily but get no where with them so beware Vanco Producs
That's the risk with second hand items. You save money but if there is a problem then you have to fight your case with the vendor. Its actually the same with new items but manufacturers might have more sympathy.
Provided supplier is a commercial retailer not a private seller, recent new consumer law entitles buyer to full refund within 30days for faulty goods. this equally applies to secondhand, I think.
As above they are a Vango Outlet based in Glasgow.
Have to say have bought a good few items from them over the years and always been delighted with the products I received.
Obviously not so for the OP..
They have a shop on Ebay, some tents etc have only been used for photo shots usually indoors and repackaged and put up for auction on Ebay.

the awning was bought new not second hand the name of the ebay seller is nearly new tents , we found out nearly new tents is amg group linked to vanco they just blame each other , we put in an ebay claim, they said they would take it back but just keep stalling , we have since then found out from other buyers, when they get the item back they find no fault with it , and refuse a refund so you then have to pay for the faulty awning back , this should no go on its 2016 and 600 pounds is a lot of money to us it was our yearly holiday to spain with the awning for the kids grrrr , a case has now been opened with trading standards , to stop other people getting burn
I was disappointed with Vango customer service when I contacted them about their description of a tent which I thought was misleading. They terminated our conversation with "I can't help you any further". The retailer didn't want to know either, they just said I got the tent cheap so why didn't I ebay it.
swift 610..I agree you should not be getting the hassle you appear to be getting.
I also agree with others comments regarding Paypal refund..if item not as described you should have no problem getting the refund..

Best way to progress is to publically embarrass them. The BIGGEST reason companies abuse consumer rights is because people are scared to go to small claims courts.
