Hi,
We have just bought a caravan with an outside barbecue point, we already had a gas cartridge cadac, do they do an attachment to where the canister would screw in to change it from canister to gas bottle ?

I don't think that is possible at all. If it is I missed a trick when I ditched my old handy portable one.

Not sure but these guys know everything about Cadac kit and should be able to help. Do let us know if you find a solution just in case someone else is looking to solve the same problem!

About 3 years ago i emailed cadac and asked them the same question, they told me it was not possible and i would have to buy the LP version if i wanted to run off a gas bottle.

Keep it! The problem with the gas points fixed to the caravan is that they are always inside the awning. You then need a long hose to get it outside.
Much more flexible with the portable model.

You have the correct answer from KUZY...and he got his answer from the horses mouth LOL. It is all about H.P canisters and L.P regulators for the 'normal' bottle gas. Also, Dealers are not legally allowed to sell gas hose in longer lengths than 1 metre. So, another reason for keeping the more portable one you have.
