Hi we are looking at getting a gas barbeque however have seen the cookers with barbeque griddle even a pizza stone, Safari or simiilar, can anyone recommend please
Hi..
When we still had a MH we bought a ordinary cheapie lidded "trolley" BBQ (from Asda?..B&Q?)and just left the bottom half of the legs/frame off.
It worked well enough but to be honest, ours was an absolute pain to clean up when we'd finished, and it just wasn't really worth the effort (especially as there was just the two of us).
We ended up reverting to using a griddle pan/plate on a gas stove.
(..if we really wanted a BBQ and a site allowed them, I'd probably just opt for a basic charcoal BBQ..maybe using a small choke/starter to speed things up)
Cadac Safari Chef - lots of different accessories which we have collected over a couple of years so we take what we need. Runs off Calor gas or Propane (much better for lower air temperatures).
------------- 2018 & so it begins.
April - please, just one weekend!
May - Who knows....
June - Tristram, Polzeath 10 nights
August - Dartmouth Regatta 4 nights
I wanted a Cadac Safari Chef because of the flexibility - BBQ, wok, skittle etc etc - but then I tried and found it wasn't a very good at grilling and a faff to clean.
We've just bought the Cadac Carri Chef 2. It's big and heavy and currently set up for garden use. We needed something big enough to cook for 4 which it can do easily. Like the Safari Chef mentioned above, it has lots of different cooking plates. There are lots of posts on it if you do a search. We are very very pleased with it so far.
Another vote for the Cadac Carri chef 2, we got our last year whilst away, we just wish we had got one earlier, you can cook anything on it, the best part being Hubby likes to cook on it, so I get to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine while he cooks
