Not sure if this is posted in the right place, but could anyone recommend a cctv camera I could use to monitor the driveway with my car, caravan and works van on. Ideally looking for a wireless security camera, one that I can set up easily without dvr's etc, and access through iPhone/iPad etc with sd card recordable function. What do people use? Is there anything suitable I could get to use?
Cheers

Tried wireless, total junk. Then tried a cheap hard drive recorder, better but still poor. You get what you pay for I'm afraid. Now I've got a Samsung hard drive (300 odd quid) and Sony camera, resolution is satisfactory. I got a little 7" monitor off eBay which sits under the tv, it's great for seeing who's at the door so I can ignore salespeople :-)

We got one of the Swann 4 camera hard drive Hard Wired systems around 5 years ago, cost was around £250 back then, looking to upgrade to HD when funds allow.
It was a pain putting the cables in, but once done it's done, can view on tablet etc, which is handy.

I've got the hard wired CCTV 2 cameras, but as I needed the van on the drive for a while I bought a wireless camera. This one is Motorola. I get a good enough picture on the phone away from home but you need a decent upload speed. the motion sensor which can notify you if there is movement is a bit over zealous. the recordable function is extra with this one.
Its cheap but does what I want.

If you have a 230v socket near to where you want to use the camera, I reckon the 'Y Cam, Home Monitor' is a good as you can buy. I have a couple and being a luddite - so easy to use :-)

Do you need light as well? A PIR operated floodlight might help.
