I have been looking for a cover for the 13pin socket on the car, (the 7pin covers dont fit snug enough), I cant find one, has others had trouble getting one. help would be very gratefull to piont me in the direction in getting one.

Alko sell one that looks like a Golf Ball, I have used one for a few good years, very effective IMO, they come in different colours and only cost about £3

Yes, sorry the green one is for the plug not the socket on the car. All the 13 pin sockets I have seen come with a hinged cover, I have never seen a cover exclusively for a 13 pin socket on sale. Perhaps you could buy a cheap 13 pin socket like this
one, remove the cover and fix to your socket.

Brought mine from Towsure £1.00 I think, used it on 7 and 13 pin sockets never fell off.

Only time I have ever lost one is when someone nicked it.
